Magnesium Hydroxide

3N® MgH are magnesium hydroxides treated with stearic acid.  They are used as non-halogen flame retardants and smoke suppressants in cables and wires, rubbers, plastics, fibers and coating materials nad thermoplastic olefin roofing materials.

Magnesium Hydroxide has excellent thermal stability of up to 340ˇăC, which enables its use where aluminum hydroxide is not sufficiently stable.  Magnesium hydroxide is environmentally friendly since no toxic or corrosive gases are generated during its decomposition process.

3N® MgH are grinded from high purity mineral ore and has a big cost advantage to precipitated magnesium hydroxide.
